"The amount of Russian-Iranian contacts on different directions and at different levels is nowadays high as never, but this does not make a dialog between the foreign ministries less intensive and substantial," Sergey Ryabkov told Tass on Wednesday.
"Iranian colleagues have received an invitation to visit Moscow, and I think this is real next year. The Russian side is rather interested in continuing a dialog," he said.
Focusing on the results of his trip to Tehran, Ryabkov said the consultations had been effective. "The previous consultations of this kind were held last year. Since then, a lot of different issues have massed up, more large-scale and to certain extent more technical, on which we have had a conversation. We, from the Russian side, are pleased with its efficiency," he said marking certain understanding.
Ryabkov met in Tehran with the deputies to the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi.
