Gagauzian public figure sees possibility of early parliamentary polls in Moldova

Mihail Vlah told TASS in an interview that the ruling Party of Action and Solidarity 'has started urgent preparations'

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. The next year’s parliamentary elections in Moldova are likely to be early ones, said Mihail Vlah, a public figure from the country’s autonomous region of Gagauzia.

He told TASS in an interview that the ruling Party of Action and Solidarity "has started urgent preparations for the parliamentary polls."

"This is most likely to be an early election, so that the opposition had no chance of joining forces against them," he said.

The previous parliamentary polls in Moldova were held on July 11, 2021. Lawmakers are elected for four-year terms.
