Kiev came up with idea of attacking Ozon, Wildberries, now seeks West’s protection — Putin

The Russian side should have anticipated such attacks, the President stated

MOSCOW, October 15. /TASS/. Kiev "came up with the idea" of attacking Ozon and Wildberries and is now asking its sponsors to influence Russia to stop retaliatory strikes, Russian President Vladimir Putin said while addressing the Delovaya Rossiya business forum via video link.

"Unfortunately, we have encountered the enemy’s actions against our platforms - both Wildberries and Ozon. By the way, they keep taking certain steps that, frankly speaking, we probably should have anticipated," the president said. "But we thought they would not come up with that idea. They did. We begin to respond, and then they immediately appeal to their sponsors, asking them to put pressure on us and make us stop. That is what happened with energy facilities. They are still doing it," Putin stressed, adding that the same applies to e-commerce platforms.
