MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. The multi-polar world will be the main topic of the Russia-Africa inter-parliamentary conference set to take place on March 19-20 in Moscow, Russian State Duma Deputy Speaker Alexander Babakov said Friday.
"The conference will take place at the House of the Unions on March 19-20. The multipolar world will be the main topic of discussion. The conference will involve Russian lawmakers, foreign experts on African issues, business and science representatives. Perhaps the delegation will include representatives from the executive branch," the lawmaker said during a meeting of the conference’s organizational committee.
He noted that the conference will also include a "business program with the participation of Russian and African companies."
"The world is changing significantly, and we would like this topic to be present in delegations’ reports. In addition, roundtable discussions will take place. Their topics will be as follows: ‘Parliamentary support of cooperation in science and education,’ ‘Legislative response to economic challenges,’ ‘Indivisible security: capabilities and contribution of parliaments,’ and ‘Western neo-colonialism: how to prevent history from repeating itself’," the Deputy Speaker said.
