Russia expels some employees of Bulgarian embassy in Moscow — Russian MFA

It was stated that the measure was a retaliation to the unsubstantiated decision by Bulgaria to expel 10 diplomats from the Russian embassy in Sofia

MOSCOW, April 18. /TASS/. Russia is expelling some employees of Bulgarian embassy in Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

"On April 18, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Russian Federation Atanas Krastin was invited to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where he was presented with a note from the ministry declaring employees of the Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow as ‘persona non grata’ (unacceptable)," the statement said.

The ministry said the measure was a retaliation to the unsubstantiated decision by Bulgaria to expel 10 diplomats from the Russian embassy in Sofia.
