Drone used by Ukrainian troops to adjust fire at DPR’s Yasinovataya — adviser to DPR head

As a result, one civilian died and another 13 were injured

DONETSK, April 9. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops used a drone to adjust fire at the city of Yasinovataya in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), which killed one civilian and left 13 more wounded, Yan Gagin, adviser to the DPR’s acting head, told TASS on Sunday.

"Ukrainian artillery never works without target confirmation from a drone or a fire adjuster on the ground. This time, it was a drone," he said, adding that the strike targeted a park near a school when people were strolling about.

"There were a lot of wounded people. We were unable to attend to all of them, so some were transferred to Makeyevka," a doctor of the Yasinovataya central hospital said after the shelling attack.

According to the mission of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) for issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes, Yasinovataya came under shelling by Ukrainian troops on April 8. Fire was conducted form 155mm artillery systems used in NATO countries. One civilian was killed and 13 more were wounded.
