MOSCOW, August 13. /TASS/. Sony Mobile Communications Rus, the Russian division of Sony Mobile Communications, has liquidated the remainder of its assets and shuttered, according to data from the united state register for legal entities.

August 11, 2025 has been recorded as the official closing date. The company officially filed for liquidation with the Russian internal revenue service on October 10 of last year.

Sony Mobile Communications, which deals in portable electronics, is a subsidiary of Sony. In 2022, Sony suspended work of the Playstation Store and deliveries of its consoles and games to Russia and shipments to dealers. Sony Electronics, the main Russian legal entity, remains operational.
