Ruble share in mutual payments between Russia, Tajikistan reach 83% — Putin

"Stable channels of interaction between credit and banking institutions are being built up consistently," the Russian leader noted

MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. The ruble share in commercial transactions between Russia and Tajikistan climbed to 83% as of the end of first six months of 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"National currencies are holding an increasingly greater place in mutual payments between our countries. In particular, the ruble share in commercial transactions reached sound 83% as of the end of the first half of this year," the Russian leader said.

"Stable channels of interaction between credit and banking institutions are being built up consistently," Putin noted. Nationals of Russia and Tajikistan can make cross-border money transfers using the faster payment system of the Bank of Russia since last year, he added.
