Russia’s future largely depends on success in AI sphere — Putin

The Russian leader noted that Russia needs to scale up its efforts in developing artificial intelligence

MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. Achievements in the artificial intelligence (AI) sphere will largely determine the place Russia will hold in the world in future, President Vladimir Putin said at the AI Journey Conference.

"The value of breakthroughs in the artificial intelligence sphere is tremendous. The competition among state is simply fierce. The place of Russia in the world, our sovereignty, security and soundness of our country depends on results we will attain," the head of state said.

Russia needs to scale up its efforts in developing artificial intelligence, the President noted.

"We are one step ahead of certain other countries in a number of directions in this sphere. We should definitely ramp up our efforts," the Russian leader said. At the same time, Russia "still needs to catch up" in certain other spheres, Putin added.
