Russia ready to share cybersecurity expertise with CIS — FSB head

The National Coordination Center on Computer Incidents was established in September 2018 by the order of the Federal Security Service Director on the basis of the law on Russian critical information infrastructure security

MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. Over the past six years, Russia has gained vast experience in countering cyberattacks and it is ready to share this expertise with its Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) partners, Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov said at the ongoing Moscow meeting of the CIS security and intelligence chiefs’ council.

"I propose closer collaboration in combating cyber threats with Russia’s National Coordination Center for Computer Incidents. Since 2018, it has accumulated extensive experience in detecting, preventing and mitigating the consequences of computer attacks, and we are ready to share it with our partners," he said.

The National Coordination Center on Computer Incidents was established in September 2018 by the order of the Federal Security Service Director on the basis of the law on Russian critical information infrastructure security. The center’s primary mission is to coordinate the efforts of critical infrastructure entities in detecting, preventing, and responding to cyberattacks and incidents.
