Iran to hold large-scale military drills in coming days

The drills will bring together artillery, armored and airborne troops

DUBAI, October 26. /TASS/. Iran will hold military drills involving various units of the ground forces in the coming days, the Tasnim news agency reported.

According to the media outlet, the Iqtidar 1402 exercise will take place in the Isfahan Province in central Iran. The drills will bring together artillery, armored and airborne troops. However, Tasnim did not provide any details on the weapons that will be used during the exercise.

The Iranian authorities have not yet commented on the report.

The naval forces of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps held drills in the Persian Gulf in August. According to the Tasnim news agency, the exercise involved Fateh ballistic missiles and Qader cruise missiles, which have the range of 120 kilometers and 300 kilometers respectively, as well as unmanned boats and aerial vehicles.
