MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. Russia’s newest weapons are hundreds of times cheaper than those meant to be used against Russia, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told reporters on Wednesday.
"The supreme commander-in-chief said in his address to the Federal Assembly that all the advanced weapons he spoke about a year ago have already been made and some of them have even been put into operation," Shoigu said, adding that Russia’s advanced weapons boasted unprecedented efficiency.
"Our foreign colleagues realize that our weapons are hundreds of times cheaper than the systems deployed to be used against us. And that does not apply only to the US missile defense system," he said.
The Russian defense minister emphasized that "there activities are first and foremost aimed at guaranteeing our country’s military security without increasing costs and joining an arms race.".
