MELITOPOL, November 6. /TASS/. The situation in Ukraine increasingly resembles a system of oppression akin to slavery, particularly following recent discoveries of torture cells, Maxim Zubarev, a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Zaporozhye Region, has told TASS.
"Emerging evidence reveals that the state no longer serves the interests of its citizens; instead, it has morphed into a repressive machine, ruthlessly wielded against ordinary people. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), and other security agencies have become instruments for those who persist in plundering and harming the population, acting without a shred of remorse. The regime they have established mirrors that of a slave-owning society, where torture, blackmail, and murder have regrettably become commonplace," he asserted.
Zubarev further criticized the authorities for effectively dismantling independent journalism. He lamented that the media now functions solely as an extension of the security services, branding anyone deemed a threat to the regime - including children, volunteers, and medical personnel - as "enemies." He concluded that only the downfall of the Zelensky regime can bring this horror to an end.
