MANILA, July 23. /TASS/. Saudi Arabia intends to develop a peaceful nuclear program, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

"Saudi Arabia seeks to have a peaceful civil nuclear program," he said at a press conference on the sidelines of the ASEAN ministerial meetings.

According to Rubio, the partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States provides for safeguards that will prevent the creation of nuclear weapons.
