Iran sees no need to react to Trump’s social media threats — MFA

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized that Tehran was focused on promoting and protecting its national interests

TEHRAN, May 25. /TASS/. Tehran sees no need to respond to US President Donald Trump’s social media threats, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said.

"We have far more important matters to attend to. If we start to respond to the other party’s posts and pictures on social media, we won’t be able to achieve more significant results. We are focused on promoting and protecting our national interests," Iran’s state broadcaster quoted him as saying. "We will act in our style and manner wherever it is necessary," Baghaei added.

The US president regularly publishes posts on the Truth Social platform, making threats against Iran. On May 6, the US leader warned that Iran could face bombing "at a much higher level and intensity than before" unless it agreed to make a deal.
