MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. European globalists have been hampering US President Donald Trump’s initiatives to end the Ukraine conflict, Hero of Russia Yevgeny Poddubny, military correspondent and Deputy CEO of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), told TASS.
"European opponents are very much interfering with Trump personally and Republicans. Trump has been under huge pressure from American globalists, European globalists and his own allies <…>. However, I think it is what is happening on the battlefield that matters to us, because the situation in the special military operation zone affects the negotiating positions of absolutely everyone. We care what happens globally, in the Middle East and what happens with our economy inside our country. The negotiations more depend on this," he said.
While Moscow should take the stance and actions of other countries into account, others’ position is not a priority to Russia, Poddubny stressed.
On May 2, Trump said with confidence, addressing members of the Forum Club in Wes Palm Beach, Florida, that the conflict in Ukraine can be settled through negotiations. On May 9, the US head of state said in response to a TASS reporter’s question that the United States would be prepared to send its negotiators to Moscow again if this would help advance the peace process in Ukraine.
