RIO DE JANEIRO, May 16. /TASS/. Brazilian President's Special Adviser for International Affairs Celso Amorim will visit Russia on May 25-31, the Metropoles newspaper reported.
Amorim is set to lead a delegation at the International Security Forum taking place on May 26-29 in the Moscow Region. According to the newspaper, he is also expected to hold diplomatic consultations during the trip. This will be Amorim’s fourth visit to Russia since Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva returned to the presidency in 2023, Metropoles noted.
In early April, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said the number of applications to attend the first International Security Forum had nearly doubled. According to him, the forum is expected to become one of the key events in the political life not only of Russia but also of participating countries. The forum will be held at the Live Arena multifunctional complex and the Patriot Central Park.
