The US President said that he respects the Chinese leader

WASHINGTON, May 15. /TASS/. Unlike his predecessor Joe Biden, US President Donald Trump has refused to call Chinese leader Xi Jinping a dictator.

"He's the ruler. He's the president of China. <...> I respect him. He's very smart. He loves his country. I respect him. Whether he's a dictator, that's for you to figure out," the US leader replied when asked by a journalist if he considers the Chinese president a dictator.

When asked if he agreed with Joe Biden’s assessment, Trump called his predecessor an "incompetent president."
