NEW DELHI, May 15. /TASS/. Tehran is ready to discuss Moscow’s proposal to take enriched uranium, albeit at a later date, Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi said at a news conference in New Delhi.
"I met President Putin in Saint Petersburg about two weeks ago and we discussed everything, including the question that you mentioned," Iran’s top diplomat said, taking a TASS reporter’s question about Tehran’s position regarding Moscow’s proposal to remove uranium to Russian soil.
"When we come to this subject in later stages [of negotiations] and we come to that stage obviously we will have more consultations with Russia and we’ll see if the Russian offer can help or not," Araghchi continued. "This is not something for the time being," he concluded.
In a conversation with reporters on May 9, President Vladimir Putin said the proposals put forward by Russia earlier to take enriched uranium out of Iran remain on the table.
