MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. Berlin is now trying "to attack the truth," including by supporting the Nazi ideology in Ukraine, Milorad Dodik, the president of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats of Republika Srpska, told TASS in an interview.
"Germany has strengthened as an economic power, and perhaps they are just tired of their not-so-happy history, therefore they are shaping up this new context for their future generations. And we anticipate even greater attacks on the truth during this process. So, our duty is to do everything to keep the truth at the forefront," he said when asked to comment on Germany’s support to Ukraine.
This is why, he continued, May 9 is Victory Day and not Europe Day in Republika Srpska. "It was important for them [to establish Europe Day on May 9] to give their [younger] generations a different education and to claim that those things are the distant past and issues that are not worth remembering," he added.
However, Dodik insisted, 28 million fallen Soviet soldiers are not something we can step over. "So, we believe we have the right to our truth, and they cannot impose their narratives on us," the politician emphasized.
