MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is a singular figure, a gift to the Russian people, and a "beacon of hope" for all humanity, Milorad Dodik, chairman of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats in Republika Srpska (one of the two constituent entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina), told TASS in an interview.
"President Putin is a singular figure, there’s no one else like him out there today. He gives hope not only to Russia but also to the entire civilization because he demonstrates that there are different ways to fight for freedom. His ways are not about pressure and other methods that are a throwback to the fascism of old. President Putin was able to see just in time that all these neoliberal values of theirs pose a threat to Russia and its people, and he gave a response to that," Dodik pointed out.
"Had no figure like Putin emerged at that moment, we would have now been living in a unipolar world ruled by a minority of Western individuals whose needs are impossible to satisfy," he stressed. "They would have divided Russia like they wanted to in order to tap all of Russia’s natural resources," Dodik added.
The politician pointed out that Putin was the symbol of a new civilization and a multipolar world order. "President Putin was forced - Russia was forced - to launch its special military operation because President Putin realized the red line the West had crossed was what actually posed a threat as the goal was to shake Russia’s domestic political situation. He is a man who always listens to those who speak to him. He respects them. He is a man who doesn’t force decisions on others. He does not use threats. These are the things we see in the West. He sticks to diplomacy." Dodik went on to say.
"The West double-crosses you right after signing an agreement or treaty; it’s nothing but lies. They lied when they signed the Dayton Agreement and the Kumanovo Agreement that concerns Serbia and Kosovo. The same happened with the Minsk Agreements," Dodik stressed. "In contrast, President Putin is a person who listens to others in a simple and respectful manner. In fact, he is the exact opposite of what they say about him in the West. Actually, when speaking about him, they’re telling on themselves. That’s what they’re like. So it’s an honor for me to have another opportunity to talk with President Putin on Victory Day. This is why we aren’t just congratulating him but also thanking him for still being a beacon of hope for the free mankind. Not only for us Serbs but for many other Europeans as well. He speaks of a new reality, of something that is real, not fictitious. I believe that Russia and the Russian people are lucky to have Vladimir Putin for president as he continues to maintain stability and national unity and keeps hope alive for the free humanity," he concluded.
