BRUSSELS, April 3. /TASS/. Leaders of European countries and the leadership of the North Atlantic Alliance are expressing deep concern over what they view as the destructive rhetoric of US President Donald Trump, which they believe undermines the unity of the bloc, Euractiv portal reported.
According to the publication, the main complaints of the allies center on demands to stop using humiliating mockery toward the organization.
Earlier, in an interview with Reuters, Trump said he feels disgust toward NATO and is considering the possibility of the United States withdrawing from the alliance. In an interview with the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, the US president explained that he is considering revising US participation in NATO because the alliance did not support Washington in the war with Tehran. In the same interview, the American leader called NATO a "paper tiger" and admitted that he had never had much sympathy for the organization.
