MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Iran is strategically prepared to counter any potential ground operation scenario by the United States and Israel, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali stated in an interview with TASS.
"Naturally, you cannot expect me as an ambassador to be aware of the details of military strategy, and even if I was, to reveal them to you! What I can say with the utmost confidence is that our armed forces are fully prepared for various scenarios of a ground invasion and are capable of turning the aggressor’s forces into dust right there on Iranian territory," the diplomat noted, commenting on Western media reports that US CENTCOM could use the 82nd airborne brigade to seize Iran’s Kharg Island.
"You might want to ask: would the aggressor not anticipate such a possibility and factor it into their plans? But the answer to that question lies in the very fact that Iran became a target of an attack in the first place, an attack which, more than four weeks after the initial blow, has fully revealed the naivete of its nature," the ambassador added.
According to Jalali, "even a college freshman in their first semester of political science would be aware of the consequences and practical pointlessness of aggression against Iran, yet the vast military, intelligence and political apparatus of the United States lacked the foresight to expect these results."
