US strike on drug-trafficking vessels leaves 11 people dead — Pentagon

According to the statement, two of the vessels were detected and struck in the Eastern Pacific

NEW YORK, February 17. /TASS/. On Monday, the United States carried out strikes on three vessels said to belong to drug traffickers, killing 11 people, the US Southern Command reported.

"Intelligence confirmed the vessels were transiting along known narco-trafficking routes and were engaged in narco-trafficking operations," the command wrote on X.

Two of the vessels were detected and struck in the Eastern Pacific, while the third one was hit in the Caribbean, the statement said.
