DUBAI, March 16. /TASS/. The death toll from US airstrikes on Yemen has reached 19, the Al Masirah TV channel, controlled by the Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah movement, reported.
According to its data, 13 people were killed and nine were wounded as a result of strikes on the capital of Yemen, the city of Sanaa, and six were killed in a raid on Saada province. Among the dead are four children and one woman, the TV channel notes.
On Saturday evening, the Al Masirah TV channel reported that Houthi-controlled Sanaa was subjected to airstrikes. Later, US President Donald Trump said that he had given the order to launch military action against the Ansar Allah movement. According to Al Hadath TV channel, the headquarters of the Houthi Supreme Political Council, weapons depots and rebel command centers were shelled in Sanaa. The US also struck Yemeni rebel targets in the provinces of Saada, Dhamar and Al-Bayda.
