MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. The strategy of deterring Russia that the previous US administration under former President Joe Biden pursued has not led to any results except the onset of hostilities in Ukraine, Krzysztof Bosak, leader of Poland’s Confederation far-right alliance and deputy marshal of the lower house, told Radio Zet.
"The effort to shift Ukraine from the Russian sphere of influence to the Western one was managed by the Americans. The deterrence of Russia failed," he pointed out. "The war in Ukraine began as a consequence of the failure of the US’s deterrence strategy."
At the same time, according to the politician, the difference between the Biden administration and the one under new US President Donald Trump is "smaller than most experts think." He also remarked that Ukraine was relieved when Biden left office. "Even in Ukraine, people were glad Biden was leaving, as they saw his presidency as a complete lack of strategy, leading only to more death and destruction for Ukraine," the Polish politician stressed.
