BERLIN, April 13. /TASS/. Germany will soon send Ukraine another Patriot air defense system from Bundeswehr stocks, the German Defense Ministry said.
So far, Germany has delivered two Patriot air defense systems to Kiev.
"We provide support for Ukraine in the amount that we can afford given our own combat readiness," Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said, as quoted in the statement.
Pistorius pointed out that he had taken action in advance to acquire a new system instead of the one promised to Ukraine as soon as possible.
Germany is the second-largest arms supplier to Ukraine after the US. Berlin has so far allocated some 28 bln euros in military aid to Kiev and future commitments. Russia has repeatedly emphasized that shipments of Western arms to Ukraine will just protract the conflict.
