Death toll in Gaza Strip exceeds to 32,800 since October 2023 — Health Ministry

The Gaza Ministry of Health noted that "in the last 24 hours, 63 people died in the enclave, and 94 others were injured"

CAIRO, April 1. /TASS/. More than 32,800 Palestinians have died since the start of the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip, with almost 75,400 others injured, according to the data published on the official Telegram channel of the Palestinian enclave's Ministry of Health.

"The number of victims of Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip since October of last year has increased to 32,845, with at least 75,392 people injured," the ministry said in a statement. The Gaza Ministry of Health added that "in the last 24 hours, 63 people died in the enclave, and 94 others were injured."

Tensions in the Middle East flared up again on October 7 after militants from the radical Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise incursion into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, killing residents of border communities and taking people hostage. Israel started carrying out retaliatory strikes on targets in the Strip, as well as on certain areas in Lebanon and Syria. On December 1, the Israeli army accused Hamas of violating a ceasefire that had taken effect on November 24 and resumed combat operations in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian authorities blamed the United States for the resumption of Israeli aggression.
