SIRIUS /Federal Territory/, March 26. /TASS/. Budapest insists on an immediate ceasefire and the start of talks between Russia and Ukraine, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told TASS in an interview.
"You know, our position is really clear when it comes to the war in our neighborhood. We do believe that Russia cannot be defeated in this war," he noted. According to Szijjarto, the West keeps supplying weapons to Kiev so Russia does not "win big." "So, this means that there have to be negotiations by any case. So, if negotiations have to take place, our question is - why not sooner than later," Szijjarto said.
"The sooner negotiations can be started - the sooner ceasefire could be established, the less people would die, and the less destruction would take place. And there would be a less demand for a reconstruction," he concluded.
