Stockholm to give Kiev $682 mln in military, financial aid — Swedish defense minister

According to the report, the new aid will consist of military equipment and funds for its purchase

STOCKHOLM, February 20. /TASS/. Sweden will transfer military and financial aid worth 7.1 bln kroner (nearly $682 mln) to Ukraine, Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson said.

"Today Sweden announced the largest aid package to Ukraine. The 15th package will amount to 7.1 bln kroner, bringing the total value of military aid to Ukraine to 30 bln kroner (about $2.88 bln)," he wrote on his page on X (formerly Twitter).

According to Reuters, the new aid will consist of military equipment and funds for its purchase.

In early January, Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom, speaking at the People and Defense conference, said that assistance to Ukraine would be the centerpiece of Sweden's foreign policy.
