Russian TV reporter wounded in Ukraine’s shelling of Donetsk republic

The shelling was carried out by Ukraine’s armed forces from a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system

MOSCOW, February 17. /TASS/. A reporter of Zvezda TV channel, Daniil Piontkovsky, was wounded in his leg during Ukraine’s shelling of a village in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Zvezda’s Telegram channel said.

"During the shelling of Panteleymonovka, a war correspondent of Zvezda, Daniil Piontkovsky, was wounded in his leg," the report said.

The shelling was carried out by Ukraine’s armed forces from a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.

Earlier, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said on his Telegram channel that on Saturday morning the Kiev forces shelled Panteleymonovka, killing four people and wounding six others.

The DPR’s mission to the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) for issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes reported that shelling from the Ukrainian armed forces was recorded at 06:20 a.m., three 155 mm caliber shells were fired.

In his turn, head of the Yasinovatsky municipal district Dmitry Shevchenko said that among those wounded was a girl born in 2013, a boy born in 2015, while a girl born in 2009 died.
