Turkey, EU differ in views on sanctions against Russia — Erdogan's advisor

"We have our own relations with Russia and Ukraine, we do take that into account," Turkish presidential adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic said

ISTANBUL, December 28. /TASS/. Turkey and the European Union differ in their positions on sanctions against Russia over the Ukrainian conflict, Turkish presidential adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic told the TRT Haber TV channel.

"We and the EU hold different positions on sanctions against Russia because of the war in Ukraine. We have a different view on this issue, we adhere to the UN position. Meanwhile, we do not allow ourselves to be turned into a road to take a detour. We have our own relations with Russia and Ukraine, we do take that into account," Kilic said.
