WASHINGTON, December 6. /TASS/. The United States has allocated up to $175 million in its latest package of weapons and equipment for Ukraine, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement released by the Department of State.
"This package, which uses the limited resources that remain available to help Ukraine, provides up to $175 million of arms and equipment under previously directed drawdowns," the press release said.
It is specified that the package includes ammunition for HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rockets Systems), AGM-88 High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missiles (HARM), artillery ammunition, anti-armor missiles, small arms ammunition, demolitions munitions for clearing obstacles, equipment to protect critical national infrastructure, as well as spare parts and ancillary equipment.
Blinken emphasized that the new aid package could be one of the last that the United States sends to Kiev unless Congress decides on supplemental funding of Ukraine. According to Blinken, the aid to Kiev "advances our [US] national security interests.".
