Principle of self-defense doesn’t justify Israeli actions in Gaza — Qatar’s Emir

"We reiterate our call for an international investigation into the massacres committed by Israel," Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani added

DUBAI, December 5. /TASS/. The right to self-defense does not justify Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said at the summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Doha.

"The principle of self-defense does not apply to the conditions of the occupation and does not allow acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip," he said. "We reiterate our call for an international investigation into the massacres committed by Israel."

The Gulf Cooperation Council opened the two-day summit on Tuesday. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been invited to attend along with leaders from the Gulf countries.
