Ex-WH doctor says Biden's cognitive decline putting US at risk

In April Biden officially launched his candidacy to seek a second White House term in 2024

NEW YORK, November 27. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline makes him hardly able to remain in office, which puts the country "at great risk," Texas Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician, said.

"It's just unbelievable how much he's degenerated just during his time in office. We cannot afford to have this man in office for the remainder of this term and then [for] another four years after that. He's already putting us at great risk right now," he said in an interview aired by Fox News .

"He [Biden] has proven to us every single day that he can't do the job," Jackson said. "He is not physically and cognitively fit for office anymore, and somebody in his inner circle needs to step up to the plate and make him aware of this, and he needs to move on for the safety and security of this country," he added.

Biden, who turned 81 this November, is known for making verbal gaffes and slips of the tongue. The Republicans question the mental and physical abilities of the head of state to continue leading the US.

In April Biden officially launched his candidacy to seek a second White House term in 2024. If reelected, he will start his second term as president aged 82.
