India increases imports from Russia by 60% in 7 months

Russia took second place among the leading suppliers of the country

NEW DELHI, November 15. /TASS/. India increased imports from Russia in the first seven months of the 2023 fiscal year (started April 1) by 60% year-on-year, PTI agency reported with reference to data from the Ministry of Commerce.

The total volume of imports from Russia in the reporting period amounted to $36.3 bln, while in the same period in the 2022 fiscal year it reached $22.1 bln. Russia took second place among the leading suppliers of the country.

China, which exported more than $60 bln worth of goods and services to India in the current financial year, was first, and the UAE third wuith $24.9 bln (-21% compared to the 2022 financial year). The United States, having supplied approximately $20 mln less goods, found itself in fourth place (-16%).
