Gaza inseparable from rest of Palestine, occupation of all these lands must end — official

According to the Palestinian authority spokesman, it is necessary to establish a clear timetable for how and when the de-occupation of the Palestinian territories will take place

DUBAI, November 8. /TASS/. The Gaza Strip is an integral part of Palestine and cannot exist separately from its other territories, and the occupation of any and all Palestinian lands must end today, Palestinian Authority spokesman Ibrahim Milham said.

"The discussion about what will happen next can only be conducted in the manner outlined by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas: it is necessary to establish a clear timetable for how and when the de-occupation of the Palestinian territories will take place. We are not talking about transitional or temporary solutions: we have tried all such methods ourselves. <...> We are not talking about Gaza alone, but about all the occupied Palestinian territories. Gaza is a natural part of occupied Palestine, and you cannot talk about one part without including the other," the spokesman told Sky News Arabia, talking about what will happen with the Palestinian enclave after the end of fighting between Israel and the radical Palestinian movement Hamas.

On November 5, Abbas said during a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that the Palestinian Authority is ready to return to governing Gaza as part of a comprehensive political solution to the Middle East conflict. Abbas pointed out that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of Palestine and that the Palestinian Authority will be fully responsible in both the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip as part of a comprehensive political solution, but only after the end of this latest escalation of the conflict.
