WASHINGTON, October 24. /TASS/. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will hold talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Washington on October 26-28, the State Department reported.

According to the statement, Blinken and Wang Yi will discuss a range of bilateral, regional and international issues as part of their ongoing efforts to responsibly manage US-China relations and maintain open channels of communication.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier that Wang Yi could travel to Washington this week. According to the newspaper, Wang Yi will meet with Blinken in the US capital to discuss preparations for Chinese President Xi Jinping's possible participation in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which will be held in San Francisco (California) in mid-November.
