Baku, September 25. /TASS/. Azerbaijan's central authorities will create a joint working group, which will include representatives of Karabakh Armenians, to solve a number of pressing issues, the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration reported at today's meeting in Khojaly.
"An agreement was reached to organize a meeting of the members of the working group on solving socio-humanitarian, economic and infrastructure issues headed by Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev with relevant representatives engaged in public utilities, medical services and other civil activities in the region, including the city of Khankendi, in order to determine the directions of current activities and establish a joint working group," the report says.
The meeting in Khojaly was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere, and satisfaction was expressed with the implementation of the agreements reached following the first meeting between the sides held last week in the town of Yevlakh.
The Azerbaijani Presidential Administration also noted that the parties agreed to hold another meeting in the near future.
A meeting between representatives of the Azerbaijani authorities and the Armenian population of Karabakh was held today in Khojaly at the base of the Russian peacekeeping contingent. The central authorities of the republic were represented at the meeting by Ramin Mammadov, who is responsible for relations with Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region.
The previous meeting was held on September 21 in the town of Yevlakh. Plans for reintegration were presented to a delegation of Karabakh Armenians.
