KARUIZAWA /Japan/, April 18. /TASS/. G7 foreign ministers welcomed the normalization of relations between Middle Eastern states, including Saudi Arabia and Iran, they said in the joint statement adopted Tuesday.

"We welcome initiatives to improve bilateral relations among countries and de-escalate tensions in the region, including Iran and Saudi Arabia’s recent agreement to restore ties," the statement reads.
