Japanese top diplomat to meet with his NATO counterparts to reaffirm cooperation

According to the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Yoshimasa Hayashi may discuss with his counterparts the situation around Ukraine, as well as the implementation of the concept of ‘an open and free Indo-Pacific region’

TOKYO, March 31. /TASS/. Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi intends to confirm the strengthening of cooperation between Tokyo and NATO at a meeting of the organization’s foreign ministers to be held in Belgium on April 3 to 6, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said at a statement released on Friday.

According to it, Hayashi may discuss with his counterparts the situation around Ukraine, as well as the implementation of the concept of ‘an open and free Indo-Pacific region’.

In addition, the Japanese top diplomat will hold an online meeting of the G7 trade ministers on April 4.
