Iran to allow IARA to implement verification, monitoring activities - statement

VIENNA, March 4. /TASS/. Iran will allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to conduct verification and monitoring activities, and modalities are to be agreed at upcoming talks, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization and the IAEA said in a joint statement on Saturday.

"Iran, on a voluntary basis will allow the IAEA to implement further appropriate verification and monitoring activities," the statement said.

It was said that "modalities will be agreed" at a technical meeting that would take place soon in Tehran.

Iran expressed its readiness to provide access to three nuclear facilities. The sides agreed to interact "in full conformity with the competences of the IAEA and the rights and obligations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.".
