WASHINGTON, February 23. /TASS/. The West is considering options of supplying fourth or fifth-generation fighter jets to Ukraine, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland said in an interview with Washington Post.
"We're continuing to have those conversations, both internally [in the US administration] as we look at longer term air defense [that Kiev needs], but also with Ukraine. There are some countries in Europe that are interested in providing those [jets] and as the president [Joe Biden] said, that's the choice that they will make," the top State Department official said, commenting on whether this concerns the West’s possible supplies of fourth or fifth-generation fighter jets to Kiev.
"But again: this is an evolving picture as we see what Ukraine needs," Nuland said.
