Moldovan border guards have found fragments of a missile that came down in the north of the republic, the press service of the country's Interior Ministry reported on Thursday.
"A border police patrol found fragments of a missile in the sector of the Larga border point (Briceni District)," the report said.
This is the fourth incident in which a missile or its debris land in the territory of the republic since the start of the conflict in Ukraine. According to the Moldovan Interior Ministry, the debris found earlier near the Ukraine-bordering settlements of Naslavcea, Larga and Briceni, were projectiles from the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, fired by Ukrainian air defenses.
