Four thermal power plants damaged in Ukraine — energy company

To date, twelve thermal power plants with an average of ten power units each are located on Kiev-controlled territories

KIEV, February 10. /TASS/. Four thermal power plants have been damaged in Ukraine, the DTEK holding company said on Friday.

"Today, on February 10, <…> four DTEK Energo thermal power plants were damaged. <…> The plants’ equipment was seriously damaged," it wrote on its Telegram channel, not specifying, however, which ones.

According to the company, repair efforts have already begun.

To date, twelve thermal power plants with an average of ten power units each are located on Kiev-controlled territories.

An air raid warning was issued in Ukraine’s entire territory on Friday. It was in force for about 3.5 hours. Explosions were reported in Vinnitsa, Ivano-Frankovsk, Kiev, Kharkov, Khmelnitsky, in the Odessa region and in the Kiev-controlled city of Zaporozhye. Air defense systems were reported to be operating in the Kiev region, in Lvov, in the Kirovograd, Nikolayev, Poltava and Kharkov regions, and in the city of Zhitomir.
