The US and its allies continue to obstruct deliveries of necessary humanitarian aid and obstruct operation of international humanitarian organizations in the republic, despite the earthquake that rocked Syria recently, Syria’s ruling Arab Socialist Resurrection Party (Ba’ath) said in a statement, published on its website Thursday.

"Despite the humanitarian catastrophe that befell Syria, [the US and its allies] continue their unilateral and unjust blockade [of the Arab republic], and still persist in obstructing deliveries of necessary aid - medicine, medical equipment, spare parts for vehicles that clear debris, and other necessary cargo. They also seek to prevent international organizations from fulfilling their missions in regards to the Syrian people," the statement says.
