KIEV, June 22. /TASS/. US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radars that can detect mortar, artillery and multiple launch rocket systems’ positions have been delivered to Ukraine, Ukrainian media reported Wednesday.

According to the report, the radars were shipped within the $100-million aid package, announced by the US on May 19.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that this package will include 18 155-mm howitzers, 18 trucks for their transportation and three counter-battery radars.

The AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radars were commissioned to the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s. They were designed to detect enemy firing positions and correction of response fire. Their range is about 24 kilometers.
