Four civilians killed in shelling of Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk — diplomat

Three are in serious condition, Rodion Miroshnik said

LUGANSK, May 25. /TASS/. Four civilians were killed and three injured when Ukrainian troops shelled the Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk, the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik wrote in his Telegram channel on Wednesday.

"A workshop on the territory of the Severodonetsk Azot was shelled from the territory of Lisichansk," he wrote. "According to local residents, four civilians were killed and three are in serious condition."

The privately-owned Severodonetsk Azot Association is the largest chemical enterprise in Ukraine. The plant in Donetsk is the only facility that produces acetic acid, methanol and vinyl acetate. The enterprise employs around 7,000 people.
