MINSK, July 1. /TASS/. The union of Belarus and Russia is an asset that should be preserved, augmented and passed on to future generations, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday at a plenary session of the 8th Forum of Regions.
"Russia has always been and will remain a strategic partner of Belarus, and our fraternal union is an asset that must be preserved, augmented and passed on to future generations," he said.
According to Lukashenko, this is the mission of the current generation and the leadership of both countries, and everything necessary will be done to achieve this end.
