Oman issues emergency use authorization for Russia’s Sputnik V jab

Emergency use license has been granted in the Sultanate for four vaccines, namely Pfizer-Biontech, Oxford/AstraZeneca, Sputnik and Sinovac vaccines

CAIRO, June 24. /TASS/. Omani authorities have approved four COVID-19 vaccines for emergency use, including Russia’s Sputnik V shot, national health official Saif Salim Al Abri told a special government meeting on Thursday.

"Emergency use license has also been granted in the Sultanate for four vaccines, namely Pfizer-Biontech, Oxford/AstraZeneca, Sputnik and Sinovac vaccines," Times of Oman quoted him as saying.

The official noted that more than 1.5 million doses had already been administered in the country. Oman expects to receive approximately 3.2 million doses of various jabs between July and November.
